Obituary for Roger J Vasey
Roger J. Vasey, 61, of Harris, Missouri passed away October 12, 2018 at the University Hospital in Columbia, Missouri.
Roger was born on March 6, 1957, the son of Lawrence Vasey and Grace Drew (Lord) in Chariton, Iowa. He is preceded in death by his mother. On June 20, 2002, he was united in marriage to Gail Scott Vasey.
Roger is survived by his wife Gail; one son, Travis Vasey; his father, Lawrence Vasey; brothers, Jack Vasey and wife Pat; Terry Vasey and wife Pauline; Michael Vasey and wife Jodi; Mark Vasey and wife Kim; Billy Vasey and wife Darcie; sisters, Nancy Admire and the late Delbert Admire; Dixie Vasey and husband Lawrence; Marla Vasey; Marcia Baker; Mary Vasey and Melissa Rodman and husband Terry; his step children, grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friend Gary Carter.
Roger began his career alongside his father in the construction business and farming. He enjoyed working on equipment, gardening, mowing yards, mushroom hunting, being outdoors, cooking, baking and enjoyed the fall season.
A visitation with family and friends is planned for Wednesday, October 17, 2018 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at A Simplified Funeral Solution in Green Castle, Missouri. A graveside service will follow at the Harris Cemetery in Harris, Missouri.
Arrangements are under the direction of Wendy at A Simplified Funeral Solution in Green Castle, Missouri.
