Obituary for Sylvia Elizabeth "Liz" Wells
Sylvia Elizabeth “ Liz” Wells,58 of Kirksville, Missouri went to be with the Lord on February 17, 2020 .
She was born February 23, 1961 to Donald Seward and Frances Dodd McKim in Hannibal Mo.
Liz received her education in Colchester CT. and Kirksville, MO. She later married Rayne Wells in Mount Vernon WA. and to this union one child was born Rayne Dee Wells Jr.
She was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents; stepfather, Jack McKim; stepmother, Betsy Seward; one brother, Sterling Owens; two sisters, Donna Faye Seward and Debra Sapp; daughter in law Marnell Wells.
She is survived by her partner of sixteen years ,Greg Von Moose of Kirksville MO; son, Rayne Dee Wells Jr.; of Kirksville, MO.; granddaughter, Sylvia Wells of Kirksville MO.; three sisters, Sandy Rogers and Ed of Kirksville, MO., Rose Sigsby and Hank of Houston, TX., and Ruby Anne Seward of Branford, CT.; one brother, Donald Seward of Branford, CT.
Liz worked in various places including Mickey Gilley's and Princess Drive in in Houston, Tx. She also worked for Sears and Hilltop Catering in Mt Vernon, WA. Liz greatly enjoyed singing karaoke. Heh and her had their own karaoke shop in Mt Vernon. But the place She loved working the most was Caffiend Fix Coffee Shop owned by her son, where she enjoyed baking and making candy. She enjoyed doing charity work and volunteered for the Muscular Dystrophy Assoc. in Mt Vernon. She also volunteered for several years in Kirksville at a Mission and Soup kitchen.
Liz was a member of the Kirksville Moose Lodge. and for many summers sang karaoke at the Kirksville farmers market. She loved going to auctions and having yard sales and spending time with her family. Liz was especially fond of her granddaughter Sylvia “ Silly” who gave her great joy and forever changed her life.
