Obituary for Sharon Kay Minnix
Sharon Kay Minnix, 70 of Kirksville, Missouri died on December 29, 2019 at the University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri.
She was born April 8, 1949 and is preceded in death by her mother, Delia Mae Gray and stepfather, Freddie Leon Gray, and two sisters, Linda Mae Sullivan and Carolyn Sue (Sullivan) Kiene.
She is survived by her husband, Larry Minnix of Kirksville, MO.; sons, Dan and Sheila Sullivan of Kirksville, MO.; Robert and Sylvia Minnix of Ruidoso, NM; stepdaughter, Lonna and Jeff Nelson of Cameron, MO.; five grandchildren, one step-granddaughter; one special “adopted” grandchild, Kayla Walker of Kirksville, MO.; one uncle, David Sullivan of Novinger, MO.; several cousins, nephews and other family members.
Sharon worked for years in various local nursing homes. She enjoyed traveling, bingo, keeping up with her friends and family on Facebook, volunteering, in her church, and spending time with family and friends including her church family.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday January 4, 2020 at the First Assembly of God Church at 2401 S. High Street in Kirksville, MO. starting at (noon) 12:00 p.m. with pastor Jeff Arp officiating.
