Obituary for Charles Franklin Seward

Charles Franklin Seward, age 90 of St. Louis, formerly of Kansas City and Green Castle, MO passed away on Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at the Green Park Nursing Home in St. Louis, MO.
Charles was born on October 15, 1931 in Green Castle, MO the son of William Jay and Mary Ellen (Crannell) Seward. He was raised in the Green Castle area and graduated from the Green Castle High School. He faithfully served his country with the United States Army as a Pilot and served during the Korean Conflict. Following his discharge, he went on to further his education earning his Master’s Degree. Charles taught at the Schuyler County Schools and later became the Superintendent. In his retirement years he worked as a Bail Bondsman in Kansas City, MO. Charles was united in marriage to Carol Ann Walker, she preceded him in death. Charles loved to travel and lived in may places across the United States. He loved to drink coffee and was one of the most charming and kindest men.
Charles is survived by his grand-daughter Bridget Seward of St. Louis, and his sister-in-law Phyllis Seward of Kirksville, MO.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his son Marvin Layne Seward in 2013, his siblings: Ellen Belle Seward, Fern Alice Jerome and twin brother John Oliver Seward. Graveside funeral services with military honors will be announced soon.
