Arleen Patricia Harnois, 71, of Virginia Illinois passed away on Friday November 13, 2020 at her home.
She was born on Monday April, 11 1949 the daughter of John J. Harnois and Rita (Murray) Harnois in Chicago, Illinois.
Arleen was preceded in death by her father, John Harnois; special friend/partner, Rich Waco and son in law, Rick Smedley.
She is survived by one daughter, Terri Rutledge-Smedley of Beardstown, IL; three grandchildren, Stephen
(Betsy) Harnois of Meredosia, IL, Aileena “Rosie” (Gary) Brogdon of Litterberry, IL, Matthew (Jenna)
Rutledge of Springfield, IL; eight great-grandchildren; Harley, Delaney, Stephen Jr., Zoey, Yasmine, Braedyn,
Liam, and Henry; her mother Rita and sister Jackie of Chicago IL.
Arleen spent her early years growing up in the Chicago area. She attended beauty school and began her career as a hairdresser in Chicago. She later relocated to central Illinois and continued her career hairdressing in Virginia until she retired.
Arleen was a master gardener, and enjoyed cooking and politics. She was an avid republican and enjoyed helping promote conservative politics online.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Wendy at A Simplified Funeral Solution in Green Castle, Missouri.
