Obituary for Virginia Ilene "Ilene" Clevenger
Virginia Ilene Clevenger, 67, of Milan passed away on Monday, August 14, 2017, at Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville, MO.
Ilene was born February 9, 1950, in Unionville, MO to James Jimerson and Virginia (McNurlin) Jimerson. She was preceded in death by her parents, and two sisters, Barbara Marsh, Darlene Ewing.
On September 4, 1971, she married Herbert (Herb) Clevenger. They were married 44 years and Herb survives Ilene.
Other survivors include daughters Jodi Danielson of Milan, Mo, Mary Clevenger of Milan, Mo; a brother Jimmy Jimerson; several nieces and nephews.
Ilene was mom to many. She had a smile that would bring comfort to anyone and loved to joke and bring a smile to others. She loved people, reading, cooking, baking and gardening. She spent 24 years as the owner and cashier at Kozy Korner in Milan, Missouri.
A Graveside service will be Wednesday August 16, 2017, at Oak Grove Cemetery in Milan, Missouri at 10:00 a.m. Memorial contributions are suggested to the National Kidney Foundation, Inc., 30 East 33rd Street, New York, NY 10016
