She was the bookkeeper of the farm accounts and implement business. In 1982 Sylvia and her husband bought a cattle farm in Pollock MO. She enjoyed her years raising her family, farming and working cattle alongside her husband. She loved the outdoors and was known as the baby cow grandma to a few of her grandkids. She also enjoyed gardening and canning. A very loving and caring person, she was totally devoted to her family and always found time to play and read to her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
