Obituary for Martha Jane Hubbartt (Darby)
Martha Jane Hubbartt, 77, of Lancaster, Missouri, peacefully passed away on Sunday, March 4, 2018 at Kirksville Manor Care Center in Kirksville, Missouri.
She was born in Lancaster, Missouri on June 20, 1940, the daughter of George and Audra Pauline (Pottorff) Darby.
On December 31, 1957 she was united in marriage to Ronald Francis Hubbartt and to this union three children were born.
Martha is survived by her two daughters, Lorraine Kelso and husband Max R. Kelso of Kirksville, Missouri ; Michele Watts of Kirksville, Missouri; one son, Kenneth Hubbartt of Lancaster, Missouri; three grandchildren, Stephanie, Bradley and Amy Hubbartt; sister Betty Jean Snowbarger of Lancaster, Missouri and one great grandchild, Lillian House.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Ronald Hubbartt, and one son-in-law, Walter Edwin Watts III.
Martha was a 1957 graduate of Lancaster High School. She and Ronnie spent their early years farming and later owning and operating Hubbartt Excavating. Always on the go and in her shorts, she enjoyed sharing a belly laugh with family and friends, baking apple crisp, playing cards and bingo and many hobbies. Martha's greatest joy came from loving her family, friends, and pets.
Martha was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She leaves her friends and family with loving memories.
A memorial service celebrating Martha’s life will be held Thursday, March 08, 2018 at 11:00am at the Schuyler County Church of Faith in Lancaster, Missouri with Sonny Smyser officiating.
