Laverda Kay Campbell, 58, formerly of Milan, Missouri a loving mother and grandmother passed away February 7, 2017 at the Putnam County Care Center. Laverda was born September 27, 1958 the daughter of George Merle Williams and Katherine (Richardson) Williams.

Laverda enjoyed the simple things in life and particularly enjoyed sipping sweet tea on warm summer nights with her sisters. She loved watching her children grow and spending time outside with her children and taking them to the pool.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters; Darlene Hines, and Judy Chapman, one brother Larry Williams.

Laverda is survived by her two sons; Carey Lester and fiancé’ Michelle, Matthew Lester; one daughter Latisha Campbell; six grandchildren, Hunter Lester, Zayden Lester, Darien Carley, Mikey Carley, McKenna Lugo’reyes, Kameron Lugo’reyes; two brothers, Billy Williams and Gerald Williams.

A family visitation will be held on Wednesday February 8, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at A Simplified Funeral Solution LLC in Green Castle. Missouri with cremation to follow.
